Mrs. Becky Rassas
Becky Francis began her love for dance at the age of 3 with Mandy Jimersin at Dancing Feet, and continued at Christy’s Dance Connection where she went on to win Regional and National Titles with the Stage Stars Competitive Dance Team. After graduating from Northeast High School, Becky attended Austin Peay State University where she received a B.S. in Health & Human Performance, specializing in Wellness Promotion. While at APSU, Becky represented the University as a member of the Pom Squad and moved directly into an internship at Vanderbilt University working alongside the school’s Strength, Speed & Conditioning Coach. Becky’s teaching career launched after college as she toured on staff with the NY-LA-Nashville Entertainment Dancers Rock in 2008. She served as instructor and choreographer at Christy’s Dance Connection where her students proved to follow in her footsteps winning on both the Regional and National levels. Becky continues to serve as a guest instructor and choreographer for Chillhowee Dance & Performing Arts Center in Cleveland, TN. Becky has been certified by both written and demonstrative testing by Dance Masters of America. A Clarksville native, Becky looks forward to giving back to her community. Becky has a true passion for dance and will serve her students with that same passion and drive. Becky is excited to have this dream of owning her own dance studio become a reality that she can share with all of you! REWIND is so excited about having Kima on staff! Kima graduated from Austin Peay State University with a B.S. in Sociology and Dance. She began dancing early on but gained great experience while attending and graduating from Dekalb School of the Arts in Atlanta, Ga where she was awarded a 2 year scholarship to gain additional training at the Atlanta Ballet Center for Education. Kima was a member of the Georgia State University dance team and the Austin Peay Pom Squad. "I have the pleasure of being a proud Army wife, celebrating 3 years of marriage this summer! As a proud alumni of Austin Peay, I have continued my relationship with the dance department where I continue to utilize and improve my choreography skills, as well as teaching adult ballet with the Austin Peay Communtity School of the Arts. Meeting and getting to know Becky this last year has been amazing. I enjoy teaching so much and am so blessed that she has brought me on board with her vision of following her dreams! I'm ready to share this experience with her and for REWIND to ROCK!"
